Hosted at the Holiday Inn Presidential, this event serves as an opportunity for alumni to reconnect as well as oversee the business of the National Alumni Association.

On February 26, 2017, Philander Smith College will honor African American High School students who have show scholastic achievement at the highest level. As a part of the institution's Black History Month activities, the African American High School Honors ceremony serves as a way to highlight and recognize what these students have accomplished throughout the year. Honorees as award scholarships to attend Philander Smith College as well as other special recognition. 

This event is open to the public and all are invited to join us as we celebrate these wonderful students and their achievements.

10th Annual Living Legends Banquet

The Living Legends Banquet is the culmination of Philander Smith College’s annual Religious Emphasis Week which engages students, faculty, staff, and the community in activities and programming designed to provide opportunity for intellectual and spiritual growth. Through the Living Legends Banquet, the College strives to give distinction to individuals who are serving God by serving the community. Honorees are comprised of community leaders, Philander Smith faculty, staff, and alumni and a current student.

2016 Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week

The Office of Religious Life and Campus Culture will sponsor the 2016 Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. This annual program is designed to bring awareness to the plight of those in our community who experience lack of food and shelter on a regular basis. Events throughout the week include a charity basketball tournament, educational seminars and documentaries, Thanksgiving basket collections, a day of service, and more. We invite the entire community to join with us during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week as we resolve to fight poverty.
