Philander Smith College’s annual Religious Emphasis Week (February 16-23, 2019) engages students, faculty, staff, and the community in activities and programming designed to provide opportunity for intellectual and spiritual growth. This year’s theme “The Micah Mandate” focuses on justice, kindness and humility as keys to successful living. Join us for various events and programs throughout Religious Emphasis Week!
Join us for the 2018 Opening Convocation on August 30th, at 10:00am in the Mims Gymnasium. The Opening Convocation is a time-honored PSC tradition that welcomes
the Freshman Class and calls for students, faculty and staff to pledge to the
work of the academic year.
Beginning Sunday, November 12 through Saturday, November 18, Philander Smith College will host a full week of events in recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Sponsored by the College’s Office of Religious Life and Campus Culture, this annual program is a social movement designed to help educate students and the community on the plight of homelessness and hunger and to work collectively to identify ways to eradicate both.
