Arkansas Louis Stokes Alliance For Minority Participation (ARK-LSAMP)

Arkansas Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ARK-LSAMP) aims to increase the number of under-represented minority students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) areas.

By fostering a supportive and inclusive community, ARK-LSAMP contributes to diversifying the STEM workforce and promoting educational equity. Through this program, students benefit from academic support, research opportunities, mentorship, and professional development. ARK-LSAMP helps participants build foundational skills, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and discover pathways to pursue graduate studies and careers in STEM.

Requirements to become an ARK-LSAMP Participant at PSU:

  • Incoming freshman with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have a composite ACT score of 19 or above
  • Must declare a STEM major
  • Submit application and essay to coordinator
