The Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for maintaining all student records including information relating to registration, course information, enrollment verification status, academic status, and graduation. The Registrar's Office is dedicated to providing students with the most up-to-date and accurate information available.

Here is where you will order your official Philander Smith University transcripts from our Registrar's Office. Thank your for using our new payment system. If you have any questions about transcripts, please direct them to the Office of the Registrar at (501) 370-5303.

Note: Transcripts will only be released for students who do not owe a financial obligation to the college. If a financial obligation is owed, any payments received will be refunded.

Room Reservation Fee

From $135

The housing application and Non-Refundable Room Reservation fee are due by May 1st.

First Time Freshmen - $235 (includes $35 key deposit)

Returning Students - $200

An additional deposit may be required for Private Suites.

Housing Deposits must be paid to confirm PSU scholarships.

Note: The room reservation fee is non-refundable.

Tuition Payment

Pay your tuition here using our quick and easy online payment system. Once your payment is posted by the Business Office at Philander Smith University, it will be reflected on your student account statement. Please allow 1-2 business days for the transaction to post to your account. For questions, please contact the Philander Smith University Business Office at (501) 370-5202.

Apply For Graduation

Graduation Application

  1. Pay the appropriate graduation application fee to the Business Office (retain your receipt).
    Undergraduate students pay a $75 graduation application fee.
    Graduate students (MBA program) pay a $250 graduation application fee.
  2. Complete the graduation application online. Access the application under the student tab in JICS or apply below.
  3. Have your advisor print a copy of your degree audit (advising worksheet).
  4. Have your Division Chair and Academic Advisor sign your degree audit (advising worksheet).
  5. Make sure you sign your degree audit (advising worksheet) when you meet with your advisor and division chair to receive signatures.
  6. Upload the signed degree audit (advising worksheet).
  7. Upload a copy of your receipt to your online graduation application.

Transcript Request

Transcript requests can now be processed electronically by clicking on the button on the home page and following the instructions for payment and transmission.

FEES

Official transcripts are $5.00 each and can be paid by cash, money order (made payable to Philander Smith), check (made payable to Philander Smith) or credit card.

  • If paying by credit card, you will need to contact the cashier in the Business Office at (501) 370-5206 or fax credit card number, expiration date, name and ID number to Transcript Request at Student Accounts at 501-370-5299. Then fax the request form to the Office of the Registrar at (501) 370-5389.

Official transcripts normally take 3-5 business days to process. During busy times of the year, the process may take longer.

Please remember that a transcript can only be released with the student’s written authorization. Identification will be required for transcripts picked up in person.

Official transcripts are not issued unless all obligations to the College are cleared.
