On Tuesday, January 30th, the Pre-Med Society hosted a delightful Hot Cocoa Social, bringing together students for a cozy and informative gathering.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of our new Society President, Ms. Brianna Trigg. Students had the chance to get acquainted with Ms. Trigg and the rest of the Executive Board while sipping on steaming cups of cocoa.
Ms. Trigg shared her vision for the Society, stating, “Our primary goal is to give these members as much exposure as possible to these awesome opportunities, and to help create connections that will aid them in their future endeavors.” She went on to explain, “Our members get first dibs on health programs to join, internship opportunities, research programs, MCAT preparation programs and books, and so many more amazing opportunities for students planning to further their studies beyond Philander Smith University.”
This heartwarming event not only warmed our spirits but also emphasized the strong sense of community within the Pre-Med Society. It’s incredible to see our students coming together to support one another as they prepare for their future careers in medicine.
