Philander Smith University is pleased to announce the recent approval of promotions and tenure for four esteemed faculty members. At the Board Meeting held on February 22, 2024, the university’s Board of Trustees approved the following advancements:
- Dr. Suzan Anwar has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Computer Science.
- Dr. Daniel Egbe has achieved the rank of Full Professor in the Department of Political Science.
- Dr. Carmen Hardin has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Criminal Justice.
- Dr. Lloyd Sain has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Elementary Education.
These commendable advancements come following the recommendation from the Evaluation, Promotion, and Tenure Committee of the Faculty Senate, as well as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and President Cynthia A. Bond Hopson.
