Philander Smith College is proud to be the recipient of many generous donations from philanthropists in Arkansas. We are especially grateful for Dr. Rush Harding, former member of the PSC Board of Trustees and a 2018 Honorary Doctorate recipient, who has recently launched his own website: www.rushharding.com. Structured around a football-theme, the site shares the story of Harding’s stern, yet impressive, upbringing in eastern Arkansas growing up as the son of a coach and a student in the first integrated class at Clarendon High School. It also details how hard work has helped him and his wife, Linda, be able to contribute so much to not only Philander Smith, but also to many other charitable organizations and education-related causes. Congratulations to the Hardings on the launch of this terrific new tool that will serve to help others understand the importance of this family to the Arkansas business and philanthropic community.
