The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology (AAS-IT) program at Philander Smith University prepares students for high-demand careers in the rapidly growing technology industry. The program provides a strong foundation in programming, computer systems, networking, cybersecurity, and data science, equipping graduates with the technical skills needed for entry-level IT positions or further study in computer science and related fields.

Students gain hands-on experience in software development, system administration, database management, cybersecurity, and data analysis, while also developing communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills essential for modern technology careers.

The program requires 68 credit hours and integrates general education, core computer science courses, and specialized concentrations.
