PHILANDER SMITH COLLEGE through the Thriving in Ministry Program seeks to help pastors develop meaningful relationships with wise colleagues who can help guide them through key leadership challenges, especially during transitions in their ministerial careers.
The initiative builds upon recent studies that have examined the importance of colleagues and mentors who help pastors face and overcome common professional challenges.
Starting March 18, this two-year program is offered at no cost to pastors and pastoral aspirants. Enrollment is limited!
At the completion of the program a Certificate of Advanced Pastoral Studies will be issued and CEUs will be awarded.
The Thriving in Ministry Program is open to ministers from a variety of religious communities that reflect diverse Christian traditions – mainline and evangelical Protestant, Roman Catholic and Orthodox – from Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
To apply for the Thriving in Ministry Program, please contact Rev. Phillip L. Pointer Sr., Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at ppointer@philander.edu or call 501-370-5375.
