PSC MCKINLEY NEWTON HONORS ACADEMY graduate, Dustin Ford is enrolled at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree in 2020, completing studies in the pre-med program. During his tenure at Philander Smith College, Ford completed an internship with the Arkansas Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Association, Inc. under tutelage of Dr. Samar Swaid, Chair of the Division of Natural and Physical Sciences.
Having received an enriched academic and extra-curricular experience in the honors program, the Opelousas, Louisiana, native was awarded a $100,000 scholarship funded by Bloomberg Philanthropy which will help cover the cost of his medical school education.
As an undergraduate Ford became a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and was an active member of the campus community. We congratulate Ford on this important milestone and wish this Philander Man continued success.
