- Coronavirus Updates

Philander Smith College continues to evaluate its business operations and practices amid increased concerns related to COVID-19 (the coronavirus) – particularly in light of the recent announcement of a presumptive positive case in Arkansas.
Currently, all classes will proceed as usual as we prepare for next week’s observance of Spring Break (March 16 through March 20). However, given the ever-changing nature of the situation, it is possible that our plans could change in the near future.
In the meantime, in an effort to proactively address the health and safety of the Campus Community, the Physical Plant is increasing sanitation protocols, to include the addition of personal hygiene stations for students, faculty and staff. Furthermore, we urge everyone to follow all precautions with regard to personal health as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and the Arkansas Department of Health.
Because the situation around COVID-19 is fluid and is subject to rapidly change, you are advised to frequently check the College’s Coronavirus Update page at www.philander.edu for the most up-to-date information.
Please be assured that the College, as always, is prioritizing the health and safety of our Campus Community. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together during this challenging time to stay healthy and armed with the most factual information
