President's Luncheon 2014

As part of its annual President's Luncheon fundraiser, Philander Smith College will host a panel discussion on "Transportation, Technology and Logistics" from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 in the conference room inside the Donald W. Reynolds Library on campus.

Moderated by PSC alum Terry Esper, Ph.D., professor, supply chain management at the University of Arkansas Sam Walton College of Business, the panelists will include: former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater; Ronald Mathieu, general manager of the Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport; Antoine Ajarrista, senior VP & general manager, Dassault Falcon Jet; Krista Crum, president, south region Verizon Wireless; and Sandy Otto of the Federal Highway Administration, Arkansas Division.

"This will be a discussion to highlight the intersection between transportation demand and capacity and the influence of technology on a safer, more environmentally-sound and sustainable worldwide transportation infrastructure," said C.J. Duvall, Philander Smith's vice president for institutional advancement.

Free and open to the public, the discussion precedes the sold-out President's Luncheon which will honor Rodney Slater. The fundraiser provides funding for scholarships to deserving students and helping the college meet its annual United Negro College Fund goal.
