PSC to host free community health fair
The Department of Health & Wellness at Philander Smith College will host a community health fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 in the Kendall Center located on the college’s campus.
Free and open to the public, more than 50 vendors are scheduled to participate and offer on-site screenings for blood pressure, prostate, weight, body-mass index, glucose and HIV, among others.
“There will be hands-on educational activities not just for Philander Smith students, but for faculty, staff and the community at-large,” said Martie L. Savage, R.N., health and wellness coordinator at Philander Smith College. “We want to reach as many people as possible to provide them with information and resources to help them pursue and maintain healthier lifestyles.”
No registration is required for participants. For questions or additional information, please contact Martie Savage at (501) 804-5709.
