10th Annual Living Legends Banquet

The Living Legends Banquet is the culmination of Philander Smith College’s annual Religious Emphasis Week which engages students, faculty, staff, and the community in activities and programming designed to provide opportunity for intellectual and spiritual growth. Through the Living Legends Banquet, the College strives to give distinction to individuals who are serving God by serving the community. Honorees are comprised of community leaders, Philander Smith faculty, staff, and alumni and a current student.

This year's honorees include:

Ms. Lynda Byrd - Alumna, Retired Higher Education Administrator, and Former PSC Board Trustee
Senator Linda Pondexter Chesterfield - State Legislator and Retired Educator
Dr. Frances Harris - Alumna, Physician and Current PSC Board Trustee
Rev. Jimmie Mosby - Alumnus and Minister
Mrs. Lorraine Mosby - Alumna and Retired School Counselor
Dr. Freddie Nixon - Former PSC Board Trustee and Community Activist
Mr. Marcel Jagne-Shaw - Alumnus and PSC Assistant Director of Financial Aid
Mrs. Mary Louise Williams - Retired Educator and Community Activist
Ms. Teresa Young - PSC Assistant Professor of English
Mister Philander Smith College Tarai Rolle.
