Harry R. Kendall Science & Health Mission Center
The Harry R. Kendall Science and Health Mission Center is an integral part of the academic mission of Philander Smith College, serving as an advocate for and collaborator with the Division of Natural and Physical Sciences. The center seeks to promote the health professions and allied health vocation and is committed to promoting a healthy mind, body and spiritual connection within the college and community.
The Harry R. Kendall Science and Health Mission Center will impact health disparities by:
- Securing resources to increase the number of Philander Smith College students aiming for health and health-related careers by scholarship support
- Securing faculty members to train and support these students pursuing health the health-related careers; and
- Advocating and supporting good health practices, especially among economically disadvantaged populations in Arkansas.
