Dr. Kimbrough's BLOG - Student op-eds

For my freshman colloquium class, the mid-term assignment was to write an op-ed on an issue important to them, and them submit it for publication. Three of my 18 students had their pieces published, which was great! Here are their articles.

This is a great idea and a wonderful way to teach students to write well and clearly state an educated opinion. Hopefully this idea will become so successful that many more students will become interested. Writing well is certainly a requirement for success and is seen as a necessary tool if one is going to have a bright future going forward.
