Heavily influenced by her parents, this Boston beauty, born Marie Wright, reveled in the grasp of the arts. As a child, she participated in dance and quickly began singing, which led to the development of a teen girl group. It was in this group where Free found her bearings in rap.

Free is most widely known for her 5 year run as the co-host of BET's popular "106 & Park," along with fellow co-host, AJ Calloway. The two were known for their impeccable chemistry and laid back interview styles. For years, the hottest names in Hip Hop, R&B, television, and movies took their turns on the now famous couch on the set of 106 & Park. Free is currently a signed artist and in the studio hard at work on her long awaited debut album with a numerous super producers.
